Here are some ways we can use perimeter outside of Math class:

1) fencing in a backyard

2) creating a garden

3) putting a pool in the backyard

Can you think of any other ways to use perimeter outside of Math class?

Let's review perimeter!!

Δ  -Each side of the triangle is 3 centimeters. There are 3 sides in a triangle. I have to add 3+3+3. The perimeter is 9 centimeters.

Now you try!

Find the perimeter of this rhombus (diamond): ◊   Each side is 4 inches long.

Here is a guide to finding the perimeter:

How many sides does a rhombus have?

Do I have to add up all the sides? YES!!!!

Now add the four sides up. P=4+4+4+4

If you answered 16 inches, you are correct!! Smile
